Jalbinayak temple, existed at Kirtipur in
southern part of Kathmandu Valley, is four kilometer far from ring road. The immense
popularity of this temple lies in its religious values, additionally
encompassing cultural and historical values. The surroundings of the temple set
outstanding natural beauties such as Manjushree Park. Another heart touching
site of Chovar Gorge is linked with the story of creation of ancient Kathmandu
valley. It is believed that, Kathmandu valley which was full of water became
habitant for millions of people after Manjushree made a gorge at Chovar to outlet
water through it.
Of course, there is no need to spend your
whole day in Jalbinayak area, only a short walk away is Taudaha Lake, where you
can walk around watching beautiful fishes on sides coming to eat food people
through at them. There you find small shops selling fish foods to the visitors.
You can also buy them and feed to the fishes. This lake is also attracting many
tourists both national and international day by day. There are lots of
restaurants around the lake where you can buy snacks and drink cold beer
watching beautiful site of the lake. If you come with your children, they enjoy
this place much more than you. So why not bring them too?
